24alife on Gitex Technology Week 2015

From 18^th to 22^nd October 2015 the top technology achievements will be presented in Dubai World Trade Centre on the 35^th Gitex Technology Week. 24alife and the Mikropis company have been invited to present the products of our development on the Dubai Silicon Oasis stand again this year.  Together we've been cooperating on the Smart City project, which has the vision to become a self-sufficient and high-tech city.

Dubai, as one of the fastest developing cities in the world, understands the importance of continuous evolution of science. Thus Gitex 2015 is titled:  "The Internet: Future of Everything."

Healthier and Happier Europe

Representatives of the 24alife team were discussing new ideas for European health at the EU Parliament in Brussels. We presented 24alife and our Healthier and Happier initiative as one of the options of providing support for healthy lifestyle to all Europeans. The workshop on topic "Healthy workplace, healthy and happy people, healthy economy" was led by KEN (Knowledge Economy Network) and SBRA (Slovenian Business & Research Association).

Discussion focused on the main European guidelines in occupational health, consistent with Europe 2020 strategy and other current projects, led by EU organizations from the field of public health. We tried to reach a goal of forming political starting points towards healthier European society by presenting showcases of good practice, which is also using the solution 24alife. With its informative, professional, and user friendly approach it can draw many individuals to use the free app and get support to take care of their health.

Joining the Conference about E-solutions for Occupational Health

24alife Corporate was presented as an occupational health tool at the EU-OSHA's conference in Bilbao. The topic of discussion was ill-health prevention in European companies and many contemporary solutions were described and explained at the event.

24alife team discussed usability and features, and possible limits and obstacles of implementing modern technology into HR management. At the end we all agreed that occupational health is important, but it should be performed in cooperation of company support and each individual employee's effort to take responsibility for their own health at work and in their free time. Thus 24alife solutions Corporate and Personal are a great combination of both, providing tools and professional content to managers, owners, and employees.

RC IKTS Received This Year's KEN Award in R&D

This year's KEN Forum titled "Building Knowledge Economy through Innovation Ecosystem – The role of Innovation Hubs", was held in Ljubljana from 23th to 26th of November. Mr. Janez Uplaznik, CEO of the RC IKTS and founding father of 24alife, received a KEN award in the category of Research and Development.

Zabavno raziskovanje - pridružen dogodek panevropski Noči raziskovalcev 2014

V petek, 26. septembra, se bo v Mariboru odvijal dogodek »Zabavno raziskovanje«, ki je pridružen dogodek panevropski Noči raziskovalcev 2014. Dogodek se bo odvijal v »Raziskovalnem mestu« nakupovalnega središča Europark Maribor, med 9. in 21. uro. Temeljno sporočilo prireditve je promocija poklica raziskovalca in ozaveščanje pomena tega poklica za širšo družbo. Obiskovalci bodo informirani o tem kako postati raziskovalec, mladi in mladi po srcu pa bodo dobili priložnost, da se preizkusijo kot raziskovalci na različnih področjih.

V okviru dogodka bomo, na razstavnem prostoru Inštituta za informatiko (Fakulteta za elektrotehniko, računalništvo in informatiko), obiskovalcem predstavili tudi rešitev 24alife. Na voljo bodo številne informacije, pripravljena pa bo tudi nagradna igra. Celoten program prireditve je na voljo na spletu. Vljudno vabljeni!

Corporate@life on the International Conference in London

11^th Annual International Conference of the European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology will be held on April 14-16, 2014 in London. The conference will include international experts from the field of occupational health where they'll debate about new approaches for encouraging occupational health. First study about ‘transferring the usage of mobile applications into occupational health projects' and the Corporative @life solution will also be presented during the conference by our professional partners on the project, Anita Dunkl M.A. and Paul Jiménez Ph.D., from the Department of Psychology, University of Graz in Austria. Mentioned study, conducted in June, 2013 through a web questionnaire among 438 leaders employed in Germany and Austria, has shown that one third of organization leaders would use applications in the occupational health projects and nearly half thinks measuring relevant health data is more efficient with the help of these kinds of applications.

@life solution will be presented at the 15th Employers' Consultation, which is organized by Association of Employers in Craft and Small Business of Slovenia, on March 27 and 28, 2014.
