Bringing Healthier and Happier Workplaces to China

April 25th, 2016

After a successful project of introducing the healthier and happier workplaces to companies in India, we have started another 3 programs in China with the Sanpower group and two local public companies from Nanjing, the Nanjing Bureau of Education and Nanjing Bureau of Sport. The new participants started the program just a week ago.

Starting the Anti-Stress Health Package in China has brought additional challenges to our development team as well as to the members of the 24alife team who are working with the Anti-Stress Groups. There's more on this topic in the following paragraphs.

Introducing the Healthier and Happier Workplaces to Chinese Anti-Stress Groups

In China, people are very health-aware, but their extreme tempo at work and in private life requires a little, but effective intervention in manner of reducing and managing stress at work. In this manner, the top managers of the three Chinese companies were happy to choose groups who have already started to try out our Anti-Stress Health Package.

As usually, Eva has held the first presentation/workshop to explain, what the 24alife Solution is all about and how to start a Health Package. As well as in India, we also had local interpreter, who helped our team make sure that every participant got the instructions, demonstrations and other information right. The groups performed the complete initial testing and were ready to start the program that is going to last three months. After that they will become our first Chinese ambassadors of healthier and happier workplaces.

Starting Health Package in China Was also a Challenge for Our Development Team

As soon as we found out that we got an opportunity to introduce our solution to the Chinese market, we started to check digital restrictions and possibilities to overcome them. First main task was to translate the whole solution to Chinese language. Thus, the new language was implemented into the app and on the portal. The design team also had to pay special attention because of different Chinese characters and had to play with design elements a bit to put them in the right context.

Besides the language, the app market we usually use in the other parts of the world, Play Store, is not available in China. Our mobile team did their best to find a proper app market to launch the 24alife application. The spirit of working closely together and looking for solutions instead of problems again helped us a lot to reach our goals and bring our comprehensive solution to Chinese clients.
